And do i seriously need that many tracks for this? It worked, but now i need to figure out how. It was hard for me to understand clearly at first, but now it's easy to do. you really should make a study of how it's set up so you learn how to set up any multiout VSTi. If I were you, I would save this zip somewhere so you can keep a fresh copy. can't say enough, check the Omni mixer and make sure afer you load a patch that the 8 channels in it still have their OUT's set to A B C D E F G H. makes it easy but be aware of this.Īgain. The other template did not have the midi inputs set up for all midi so while it might work for the guy who made it, it might not work immediately for others.Īll traks you need to use have been set so when any of them are selected, they will automatically become armed for recording. It should open with the project notes showing. you can save it first as a template if you want to. I did it as a project file rather than a template. I find a good way to learn is to see an example of what has worked, then apply that example to other related topics. Then, on Track 1, click the "I/O" button and study the routing that shows up. Open it, and read the notes that come up. Here is an example project created by forum member hopi.
Well my only problem really, is that no mather what of the 8 patches i choose in omnisphere, it only plays patch 1. Maybe someone with Omnisphere will drop in to help. It's confusing at first, but after you think it through it becomes easier to follow.īut post back if you continue to have trouble. You'll adjust the volume, pan, put FX, etc on the AUDIO tracks. For recording, you'll just arm the particular midi track that you want to record. Sorry, I can't help with the specifics of that.ĥ. Again, you'll need to configure your VSTi to send it to the correct channel. The VSTi track then sends the audio to each of the corresponding audio tracks.
My guess is that is what you haven't done yet.Ĥ. Within the VSTi, make sure that each part is set to receive on a different midi channel. Each of these midi tracks has a send to the VSTi track (where you will load Omnishpere in your case.)ģ. The midi data for each part is on its own unique track.Ģ. Well, I don't use Omnisphere, so it's likely that you'll need to figure out how to have multiple parts in it, but as far as Reaper goes, here's the routing logic (Here's a track template for Sampletank, which uses 16 tracks for midi, 16 for audio, and 1 for the VSTi itself, on track 33).
